The 15 Peaks Challenge

The 15 Peaks is a route of 26 miles from the top of Snowdon (Wales) to Foel Fras, including some 14,000ft of ascent and fifteen summits. To complete the route within 24 hours walking requires an early start and lots of stamina. This site is going to log our training programme and eventual attempt at the challenge in June 2005. We are a group of guys from St.Barnabas Church, who want to get fit, have some fun and raise some serious cash for a local youth and children's charity. COME ON!

The Glyders

We (Trev & Phil) managed to make it from Elidir Fawr to Tryfan, though not without some pain. The climb up to Elidir Fawr was a real slog but worth the effort, just as we reached the ridge the cloud lifted and we could see the whole of Ynys Mon (Anglesea to all you Angles) .

The walk between Glyder Fach and Fawr was pretty unreal, lunar at times.

Tyfan Trev

The descent from Glyder Fach and the climb to Tryfan was the bigest challenge of the day.
